Groundwork - 8 Week Men's Group

10 places only (early registration advised)

Upcoming Groups start on:

29 July 2026 (Inner West) & 14 October 2026 (North Shore)

There's a version of your life that's more connected, more intentional, and more yours. Most men just never get the chance to find it.

Groundwork is an 8-week group program designed specifically for men — built around the questions men rarely get asked, in a space where they can answer honestly.

Led by qualified therapists with deep experience across diverse cultural and socioeconomic communities, each session explores a theme that maps directly onto what men are actually navigating: identity and manhood, work and purpose, relationships and intimacy, anger, fatherhood, values, and how to show up in a changing world.

This isn't therapy. It isn't a self-help course. And it isn't a room full of men being told what to think.

It's two hours a week, for eight weeks — with a small group of men who are willing to be honest, guided by facilitators who know how to hold that kind of conversation safely and well.

Men who have been through it describe something simple: they finally felt heard. They made connections they didn't expect. And they left with a clearer sense of who they are and what they stand for.

Whatever your background, wherever you're starting from — Groundwork was built for you. 8 weeks. 2 hours a week. Something that lasts.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A Space Built For Men

Wherever you come from, whatever your background — this program was built with you in mind. It offers something genuinely uncommon: a confidential, non-judgmental space where men from all walks of life can speak honestly, be heard, and connect with others who understand what it means to carry real responsibilities. You won't need to explain yourself. You won't be asked to leave anything at the door.

Professionally Facilitated — Not Just a Support Group

The Groundwork program is led by qualified individual and relationship therapists who bring both clinical expertise and real-world experience working with men from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. They know that context matters — and they meet men where they are. This is structured, credible, and purposefully designed — well above a peer-led meetup, and without the clinical distance of a therapy room.

A Structured Journey, Not a One-Off Workshop

Eight weeks of progressive themes means real depth and lasting results — not a quick fix. Each week builds on the last, creating genuine insight and change that stays with you long after the program ends..

Addresses What Men Actually Carry

The themes speak to pressures men across all backgrounds recognise — work and family demands, relationship difficulties, anger, purpose, and the weight of expectation. Whatever your story, it's likely in the room. The goal is not to tell you what a man should be — it's to give you space to work that out on your own terms.

Community & Brotherhood

Many men feel isolated without fully realising it — and that cuts across every culture and background. The group format brings together men with different life experiences, and those differences make the conversations richer, not harder. Past participants have described forming genuine friendships that continued long after the program ended. That kind of connection is rare in adult life, and it doesn't require you to have anything in common except a willingness to show up.

Timely & Culturally Relevant

Being a man today comes with a lot of noise — changing expectations, conflicting messages, and pressure from all directions. For men navigating that between two cultures, or between the world they grew up in and the one they're raising their kids in, it can feel especially complex. This program doesn't tell men who to be. It creates space to work that out — thoughtfully, honestly, and in good company.

Low Time Commitment, Real Results

Just 2 hours per week for 8 weeks. Framed against what's possible — steadier relationships, better emotional regulation, greater clarity about what matters — it's a small investment with a meaningful return. Think of it as developing skills for the parts of life that actually count.

Fatherhood & Legacy

For many men, fatherhood is where everything becomes most urgent — and most personal. The dedicated session on fathering and grandfathering speaks to men who want to break cycles, honour what was good in how they were raised, and be more present for the people who depend on them most. Across cultures and generations, this is one of the most powerful reasons men come — and stay.

8 WEEKS. 8 THEMES. ONE JOURNEY.

Each session explores a different dimension of men’s lives — honest, structured, and facilitated with care.
